road to nowhere
Ontem uma senhora de idade perguntou-me: De onde é? Eu respondi: Do Porto. Ela perguntou: E para onde vai a seguir? Eu não consegui responder. É que só longos minutos depois é que percebi que o a seguir era ali, naquele momento.
Yesterday, an old lady asked me: where are you from? I told her: I'm from Porto. Then she asked: And where are you going? I couldn't answer. I was petrified. Only a few long minutes after I realized that she was actually asking me where was I going in that exact moment.
